The Mr. Habitat Auction is the most exciting and fun way to support Syracuse Habitat for Humanity's Women Build!!!
The
most fun event of the entire year! Mr. Habitat is a Man Auction hosted by
Syracuse Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build.
Men
walk the runway and strut their stuff to raise money for Syracuse Habitat for
Humanity.
BUT
instead of bidding on a date, or judging the men walking the cat walk the men
are auctioning off a good or service that attendees can bid on.
In past events we have had
gentleman walked the runway auctioning off things such as:
Getaway packages, Karate
Lessons, Landscaping, Interior Design, Handyman Work, Sporting events
tickets, professional dance lessons, and much much more.
All the gentlemen walking
the runway, and auctioning off their good or service, are competing for the
title of Mr. Habitat.
The gentleman who raises
the most money for Syracuse Habitat for Humanity through a high winning bid the
night of the auction and in fundraising done prior to the event, is crowned Mr.
Habitat.
The winner of Mr. Habitat
not only wins title, but also VIP treatment for one year, which including one
fabulous prize every month for the year of his reign.
This year’s event will be
hosted by 93Q's Ted and Amy! and Bernie Brozteck will be auctioning off the men
who are competing!
The Mr. Habitat auction also consists of an extensive silent auction. Last year the event had over $32,000 worth of auction items! Its a great way to get in some early holiday shopping!
Mr. Habitat is a
fundraising event to support Syracuse Habitat for Humanity's Women Build
House.
The Women Build is not
about excluding men; but instead including women and opening new doors of
opportunity. The Women Build program is all about empowering women on Habitat
for Humanity construction sites. The Women Build house is meant to empower
women while eradicating substandard housing in Onondaga County. To find out
